Embedded in its Renaissance facade this historical building brings together the past and today´s time. Named after the sovereign family Pálffy who inhabited the Palais in the 17th century it has seen many famous celebrities come and go. One of them was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In his childhood days the halls would be filled with his music and it is said that »Figaro« was played here for the very first time to a small selected audience.
The reconstruction after World War II gave the building its characteristic look: old Vienna on the outside, and a mix of classism and twentieth century on the inside. The exclusive rooms on the top floor are suitable for cultural events, receptions, conferences, seminars, weddings, exhibitions & fairs, christmas parties and festive dance events.
The Rooms of the Palais are the heart and soul of the house . Here is where the Master was being creative as a child. Culture and events are tying on to that tradition and find their place also in Figaro Room II (160 m2 for up to 180 Pers.). Even a grand piano can be found, ready for any playful mind. For meetings and receptions on a smaller scale we recommend the Haydn Salon with its exclusive bar area for groups up to 30 people.
It’s all about the sound. Palais Palffy is pleased to provide you with up-to-date equipment: ambience LED lights, presentation and musical set-ups, DJ sets, modern video pojection devices as well as hybrid technical equipment. We have high performance WIFI, LAN ports, AC in every room, potential for professional exhibitions and full service on-site IT support.
